More of Jesus

God heals the brokenhearted and bandages their wounds.

Psalm 147:3
Innocent lives, how can this be?
An unthinkable tragedy!
In a moment, lives are scattered,
and a country’s heart is shattered.
Crying out from the weight of pain,
with suffering we can’t explain.
Not a day goes by without news,
stuck inside political views.
Young minds continue to sicken,
in a nation that is stricken.
Fame and ego, the devil’s charms -
lured away from God's loving arms.
With crushing grief and division,
we are lacking heaven’s vision.
How do we defeat this cancer?
More of Jesus is the answer.

  1. You eloquently wrote what has been burdening my heart and the hearts of many. I won’t get on a soapbox, but can’t we let them grieve before the politics and blaming ensue? Sickened…

    Well said. Again.

  2. Spoken from the heart about our country’s youth. They need to respect life and learn the Ten Commandments to fight the evil in our culture. Loved the Poem . Love you Mom
