Morning Star Poetry

Light Shall Shine Out of Darkness!

Ring True

For the word of God is living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing to the division of souls and of spirit, of joints and or marrow, and discerning the thoughts and intentions of the heart.

Hebrews 4:12

One step back, then forward by two,
A returning long overdue,
In Jesus Christ, all things made new,
May the voice of the Lord ring true.

As His light shines, peace will ensue,
Replacing all we thought we knew,
Open hearts responding on cue,
May the voice of the Lord ring true.

The most crucial voice to pursue,
Always reflecting heaven’s view,
A guide for all we say and do,
May the voice of the Lord ring true.

When light out of darkness breaks through,
Then heaven’s harvest will accrue,
Drowning those lies that misconstrue,
May the voice of the Lord ring true.

As constant as the sky is blue,
Lovelier than a rainbow’s hue,
And fresher than the morning dew,
May the voice of the Lord ring true.

  1. I really like monorhymes. Even if every man on earth was a liar, God would still be true. I’m thankful that Jesus says He is the way the TRUTH and the life. Thanks for sharing another great poem, Scotti.

  2. Do we ever need His truth in the time we’re in. This poem expresses that need so beautifully. Somehow I missed coming reading it until now. I love it that your poems touch the heart while at the same time teach biblical truths.

  3. In Jesus Christ, all things made new,
May the voice of the Lord ring true. Amen.

I liked one of the videos that were posted, if you don’t mind, would like to post ’em on my site as well. God bless you always! Isaiah 49:14-16

  4. Hi Scotti. Indeed precious is Jesus who is the Word. The book of Revelations is a comfort — knowing God’s promises ring true even these days of uncertainty. God is sovereign.

  5. Hello friends,

I really appreciate all of your comments! As you can see, I am really slowing down on the blogging activity these days. Hope all is well with each of you.

    Blessings in the Lord,
    Scotti
