And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth.
john 1:14
The Word of the Lord is precious and rare
It is quick and sharp and perfectly fair
From age of old yet eternally new
The Word of the Lord is tested and true
Defense for the soul by the Spirit’s sword
Heaven was made by the Word of the Lord
Far greater than words of a manmade creed
God’s Word is an incorruptible seed
Oh how sweet are thy words to our taste
Savoring rich morsels without haste
For man shall not live long by bread alone
But by every good Word of God made known
Without it we stumble in dark defeat
The Lord’s Word is a lamp unto our feet
Within Your gospel a new hope is found
The living Word of God cannot be bound
Will it be the stone upon which we fall?
Or the foundation on which we stand tall?
The Lord said, ‘Is not my Word like fire?’
The spark to ignite your heart’s desire
Oh Lord, Your perfect Law of Liberty
The Word made flesh is our one guarantee
