Children’s children are a crown to the aged, and parents are the pride of their children. – Proverbs 17:6
My
children
are my loves -
my crown of joy -
raised with roots and wings.
But to be a Mimi
is my favorite role of all!
Honored to pray on their behalf,
they are my greatest gift from the Lord.
My children are my loves - my crown of joy.

This is such a heartfelt piece. “My children are my loves – my crown of joy” as both the opening and closing line ties everything together so beautifully, and “raised with roots and wings” is such a lovely image. Being called “Mimi” and getting to pray on their behalf clearly means so much, that really comes through. A warm, grateful piece.
