Greetings. To abide in Jesus continually. He’s with us always; we’re the ones who wander. Your poem, mainly the line “He longs to meet us there” reminds me of a song that I haven’t heard in years called “I miss my time with you.” While I can only vaguely remember it, the song is from the Lords perspective to a saint who has put off time with him in order to focus on worldly pursuits.

Yes, timbob, to abide in Jesus continually! Our pastor gave an awesome sermon yesterday about Partaking of the Bread of Life through believing in Christ. It was such an wonderful message about seeking out Jesus continually because we love Him. It is typically our needs that drive us to Jesus but we are truly abiding in Him and feasting on Him when we seek Him continually out of love. Jesus is the only One who can satisfy us because He nourishes us deep within our soul. Our focus on worldly pursuits only leaves us weak and unsatisfied. If we are believing, trusting and putting our faith in Jesus, we will abide in Him no matter what feelings or circumstances we have at the present time. May the Lord increase our faith and help our unbelief! Amen. And may the peace of the Lord Jesus Christ be with you always. Scotti

Yes, Cami, He is our daily bread. Jesus said, “I am the bread of life; he who comes to Me will not hunger, and he who believes in Me will never thirst”. Our pastor preached on this verse last Sunday and it was such a wonderful message about how we can partake of the bread of life through believing and abiding in Christ. God Bless! Scotti
My kids are memorizing the book of Galatians as part of the Bible quizzing program they are involved in this year. I made up a tune to Galatians 2:20 to help them memorize the verse, and I ended up memorizing it in the process. I’ve been thinking about this verse a lot and about Calvary. I’m so grateful for the cross and God’s amazing love! Thanks for another great poem.

These scriptures speak to my heart for I have begun to learn what it means to die to everything else my heart holds dear besides the Saviour, so that Christ may fully live within me.

This dying is not of us doing, but of His Spirit. For many years when I came to Christ, people used to tell me, “You must die to your old self!” And I did not comprehend it at all.
I tried to undo my past and die to myself, and I just kept falling into old ways, and then what a freeing revelation– His Spirit does the work in me. My part is only to obey, and submit to His sweet-transforming presence, daily.

and part of that is asking for forgiveness and to be cleansed from our sins not just once in our lives but everyday when we pray. to ask for all wrong to leave the heart and all light and love from Lord Christ to come in and fill us. amen.
So true, Evan. When we confess our sins, HE is faithful to forgive us AND cleanse us from all unrighteousness. We all fall…we all sin…but we have to get back up, shake it off and go back to the feet of our Lord Jesus Christ rather than wallow in our sin or pretend it never happened. Sin breaks our fellowship with God. May our hearts be so attuned to the Holy Spirit that we are instantly convicted of our sin and seek out the Lord’s forgiveness. Blessings to you today, Evan.
