Of all the worldly things I do explore
Who on earth will fill my heart’s desire?
Why does my hallow heart stay trapped in mire?
Is unfailing love a desperate lore?
By faith I step into your open door
To gaze upon your face I do aspire
Your love for me burns like a blazing fire!
Beloved, could you love me any more?
Your perfect finished work I dare not gild
You give your life for me and I the same
Lover of my soul by you I’m healed

How wonderful it is to know that God loves us with “an everlasting love” (Jeremiah 31:3)!
