The sun will not beat down on you by day, nor the moon by night. The Lord will protect you from all evil; He will keep your soul. The Lord will guard your going out and your coming in from this time and forever.
Psalm 121:6-8
Revelation for the ages, guarding us through adversity. Immortal lover of our souls, for time and all eternity. Lift us to Your heavenly realm, where the unending life bell tolls. For time and all eternity, immortal lover of our souls. Your refuge stands the test of time, guiding us through uncertainty. Immortal lover of our souls, for time and all eternity. Sealed forever by Your Spirit, with love foretold in sacred scrolls. For time and all eternity, immortal lover of our souls. Poetry Type: Mirrored Refrain

Hey, Scotti…I’ve been absent for a bit, but always reading your poetry. So meaningful to me.
I have always loved how Jesus is the ‘lover of souls’. I was a table leader at a Cursillo and the name of the table was ‘Lover of Souls’. As always, your poetry touches my soul. I thank God for your gift.

Hi David – it has been a very busy time for me as well. Thank you for reading and for your continual positive feedback! It is so encouraging to me. I attended a Cursillo once many years ago. It was very spiritually uplifting. For this poem, I had the phrase “keeper and lover of souls” ruminating through my mind. Sometimes I will wake up in the morning with a scripture in mind or a series of words that I will feel compelled to write about. I couldn’t find an exact scripture that said Jesus is the “keeper and lover of souls” but there are many verses that allude to this sentiment. To fit the particular poetry type in the correct form, I modified the line to “immortal lover of our souls”. I am glad it resonated with you.
Yes God created us and will always love our souls. It is comforting to know with forgiveness by his Son we are His children. Your poem reminds me of His love.
Thanks for the reminder.
