Morning Star Poetry

Light Shall Shine Out of Darkness!

Renewal

But those who wait on the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles, they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint.

Isaiah 40:31 (NKJV)

God never grows tired or weary
And those who wait upon the Lord
Will surely find strength in Him.
So mount up close to God.
Meet Him at the cross
Where He quickens
And revives.
Rise Up,
Soar!

I love this verse in Isaiah and I know it is a favorite scripture for many. Before I was walking with the Lord, someone gave me a refrigerator magnet with this verse on it. ๐Ÿ™‚ I used to collect all things eagles, and the magnet had a beautiful soaring eagle pictured on it. It remained on my fridge for years although I must say I didn’t fully understand the meaning. These Words from God are all the more precious to me now having read them over many times, studied the book of Isaiah, and truly experienced God’s refreshing at times when I have been spiritually, emotionally or physically weak.

What does this scripture mean to you? How has God renewed you recently?

  1. You are correct. This is indeed a favorite. How hard it is to wait on the Lord at times. But, His timing is perfect.

I would also have to say that this poem is one of my favorites of yours so far. Very interesting poetry type. Blessing to you, Scotti.

  2. Beautiful, beautiful poem Scotti. I most appreciate the absolute certainty of the promise of the word “SHALL” in Isaiah as we wait on Him. The verse is so positive – no place for doubt there. We need that SO much and so often.

  3. Very nice poem, Scotti, and that’s a wonderful Scripture that goes along with it. My spirit has been renewed many times through hearing the preaching of the Word of God or just being in church or at home worshipping and having the experience of feeling His awesome presence. There is nothing like it!

  4. Thank you for this poem, the verse and your poetry and commentary has been used by God to refresh me and strengthen me in my time of need. ๐Ÿ™‚
Grace and Peace to you scotti ๐Ÿ˜€

  5. please don’t stop! yes, this reminds me of paul saying, when i am weak then i am strong… we let go, we trust God, and we soar like an eagle!

  6. Thank you, my friends, for taking the time to comment. I appreciate all of your contributions. May God Bless you always,
    Scotti
