Light Shall Shine Out of Darkness!

Crucible

Many are the afflictions of the righteous: but the LORD delivers him out of them all.

psalm 34:19

A crucible mine to bear,
Tailor made to test my soul.
Perplexed but not in despair,
For I know who’s in control!

Tailor made to test my soul,
All things work to Your avail.
Praising the One in control,
Your good purpose will prevail!

All things work to Your avail,
Holy are Your refinements!
Your good purpose will prevail,
In these divine assignments.

Holy are Your refinements,
In hardships, You show the way.
In these divine assignments,
Lord, keep me from going astray.

In hardships, You show the way,
Rejoicing, despite my trials.
Lord, keep me from going astray.
Withstanding the devil’s wiles.

Rejoicing despite our trials,
The righteous have many tests.
Withstanding the devil’s wiles,
Praise God who delivers rest!

The righteous have many tests,
Perplexed, but not in despair.
Praise God who delivers rest!
A crucible ours to bear.

1 Peter 1:6-7 In this you greatly rejoice, though now for a little while, if need be, you have been grieved by various trials, that the genuineness of your faith, being much more precious than gold that perishes, though it is tested by fire, may be found to praise, honor, and glory at the revelation of Jesus Christ. (NKJV)

2 Corinthians 4:7-10 But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellence of the power may be of God and not of us. We are hard-pressed on every side, yet not crushed; we are perplexed, but not in despair; persecuted, but not forsaken; struck down, but not destroyed— always carrying about in the body the dying of the Lord Jesus, that the life of Jesus also may be manifested in our body.

John 16:33 I have told you these things, so that in Me you may have [perfect] peace and confidence. In the world you have tribulation and trials and distress and frustration; but be of good cheer [take courage; be confident, certain, undaunted]! For I have overcome the world. [I have deprived it of power to harm you and have conquered it for you.] (AMP)

Acts 14:22 Establishing and strengthening the souls and the hearts of the disciples, urging and warning and encouraging them to stand firm in the faith, and [telling them] that it is through many hardships and tribulations we must enter the kingdom of God (AMP)
