The Son is the gleaming brightness of God’s glory. He is the exact likeness of God’s being. He uses his powerful word to hold all things together. He provided the way for people to be made pure from sin. Then he sat down at the right hand of the King, the Majesty in heaven.
Hebrews 1:3
This gift beyond description –
A Savior born for you and me.
Matchless love without compare,
Displaying endless mercy.
He came to live among us,
To fulfill the greatest plan.
Stripped of all His privilege,
He stepped down to live as man.
He demonstrates His love for us,
Through humble birth and death.
A greater love has not been shown,
Then at His final breath.
To save us undeserving ones,
And show goodwill toward men,
He rose again and intercedes,
To free us from our sin.
By faith in Jesus Christ alone,
Our debt in full is paid.
Resulting in a peace with God,
That won’t perish, spoil or fade.
Grace from heaven – Immanuel –
With all the angels sing!
In our heart of hearts He dwells,
High Priest and Coming King!
Philippians 2:5-8 Let this same attitude and purpose and [humble] mind be in you which was in Christ Jesus: [Let Him be your example in humility:] Who, although being essentially one with God and in the form of God possessing the fullness of the attributes which make God God], did not think this equality with God was a thing to be eagerly grasped But stripped Himself [of all privileges and rightful dignity], so as to assume the guise of a servant (slave), in that He became like men and was born a human being. And after He had appeared in human form, He abased and humbled Himself [still further] and carried His obedience to the extreme of death, even the death of the cross!
Luke 1: 77 To bring and give the knowledge of salvation to His people in the forgiveness and remission of their sins. Because of and through the heart of tender mercy and loving-kindness of our God, a Light from on high will dawn upon us and visit [us]. To shine upon and give light to those who sit in darkness and in the shadow of death, to direct and guide our feet in a straight line into the way of peace.

This is so pure, Scotti–I never tire of hearing about what Jesus has done for us and Who He is…the poetry and scripture you shared added goosebumps for me, so beautiful. I can’t stop thinking the opposite of what the world advises; instead of trying to exalt ourselves, to abase ourselves like Jesus did–this is the way to fulfillment. After all, He is now at the right hand of the Father, and intercedes for us! And He’s coming again….What He’s done, His example is 100% my hope–thank you for the meat of this message.
Greetings. What a great salvation we have through Jesus C hrist who gave his life to redeem us and rose from the dead. Thanks for another great post.
Have a blessed day in Christ.
