Why do we act so foolish and unwise?
No secrets from you can we ever hide.
Should You not be our one and only guide?
Your handiwork is proclaimed in the skies!
Your love is better than some worldly prize!
In You we seek to faithfully abide.
Jehovah-Jireh, the Lord will provide.
Blessed and highly favored in His eyes.
The one who trusts will not be put to shame.
Surround us with Your favor as a shield.
Upon the cross is where You placed the blame.
The glory of the Lord will be revealed.
It’s in surrender we find victory.
A vow fulfilled for us at Calvary.

Greetings. Sometimes we just want to cling to our own understanding. Surrendering all can seem scary at first but there is no other way to real joy and peace. As the song goes “What a Friend we have in Jesus.”

Because it is so easy to fall back into sin.
Yes, surrendering our wills to God is a definite step toward victory. It’s not always easy, but it’s always necessary.
