we were blessed by a family addition,
in the month of the golden transition.
From day one, your personality shined,
lovingly made and divinely designed.

With boldness in your soul of ambition,
among many things, you’re a musician,
adventurous with a curious mind,
lovingly made and divinely designed.

Learning and teaching mark your life mission,
as I watch God’s plan come to fruition.
Now a man who is courageous and kind,
lovingly made and divinely designed.

Writers note: The prompt called to write a poem reflecting on instrumental guitar music. I immediately thought of my youngest son. He is now an adult, making his mark on the world, but he is also a fantastic guitarist. I truly miss the sounds of him playing his guitar in the house when he was growing up.
