Fight a good fight for the faith and claim eternal life. God offered it to you when you clearly told about your faith, while so many people listened. – 1 Timothy 6:12
Instructions for Not Giving Up
Our world is full of angry greed,
black voids of truth and light.
As hatred rules our social feed,
the darkness blinds our sight.
Futility controls the pace,
and chaos runs the race.
God’s love is what we need.
Instead, in anguish, our hearts bleed,
for grace in silent plight.
Allowing lies to take the lead,
conspiracies take flight.
Self-pride puffs up the empty space,
while both sides plead their case.
This evil fills our globe with crime,
cold doubt is at its prime.
God’s love is what we need.
Faith like a tiny mustard seed,
God grows in strength and might.
By faith in God, we will succeed,
so don’t give up the fight.
Stand tall and firm in God’s pure grace,
His peace we must embrace.
God’s love is all we need!

Thankfully, my world isn’t full of angry greed or filled with crime. I believe, in general, that the world, the whole world, is getting safer and less evil. Maybe the problem lies where memadtwo has pointed?

Even if we could agree to adhering to the tenants the three major world religions share- we would find kindness, compassion and service of others a very fine start.

I can feel how much conviction and passion you put into this, Scotti. The refrain gives the piece a steady rhythm of hope.
