Ancient Riddle

Who has gone up to heaven and come down?
Who has cupped the wind in the palms of his hands?
Who has wrapped up the waters in his cloak?
Who established all the ends of the earth?
What is his name, and what is his son’s name?
Surely you know! – Proverbs 30:4

Riddles found in sacred scrolls,
as ancient as they are;
calling to our seeker souls,
with words like sterling stars.

Elohim, His glory shown,
sweet mercies never cease.
Granting us a grace unknown,
Messiah, Prince of Peace.

Hidden questions all made clear,
love whispered in the wind.
God is for you, do not fear,
His Son, a faithful friend.

Death-defeater lives on strong,
His words of wisdom true.
Christ came down to right our wrongs,
now making all things new.
