Collecting Tears

You keep track of all my sorrows. You have collected all my tears in your bottle. You have recorded each one in your book. – Palms 56:8

When our tears flow,
God writes a poem of mercy
with words that pacify our fears.
His gentle hands collect our tears,
as He numbers our weary steps,
each one listed
upon His scroll.
Peace is found as redemption nears
with grace restoring broken years.
From sorrow’s tears, fresh fruit will spring,
new love will grow,
to reap and sow.
