Peace Like a Blanket

I can lie down and sleep soundly because you, Lord, will keep me safe. – Psalm 4:8

When my head hits the pillow,
I drift off to dream,
You cover me with safety,
and wrap me with rest.

Your canvas of assurance
ushers sweet repose,
an unbreakable haven,
where I feel at home.

Contentment like a blanket
surrounding my heart.
Melting all anxiety,
trading it with peace.
