Above all, have fervent and unfailing love for one another, because love covers a multitude of sins [it overlooks unkindness and unselfishly seeks the best for others]. – 1 Peter 4:8
To forget what lies behind; love is the key,
which will block out bitterness; love is the key.
Let's be truthful with ourselves, honest with God,
and not mock His mercy, where love is the key.
To reconcile transgressions that cause us pain,
we can walk back our words and love is the key.
While disarming dissension and past mistakes,
we must flock to faith because love is the key.
We learn from Messiah, our Bright Morning Star,
to unlock forgiveness, His love is the key.

Scotti, this ghazel is beautiful—your use of “love is the key” creates such a powerful refrain. It feels like a deep, compassionate reflection on forgiveness and faith.
Much love,
David

I do agree with you that, Love is key, but I do have to add, a bit of common sense goes a long way in its stead.
