Inevitable Death

And now He has revealed this grace through the appearing of our Savior, Christ Jesus, who has abolished death and illuminated the way to life and immortality through the gospel. – 2 Timothy 1:1

Inevitable death -
I’m not afraid of you.
With God, I know the way
to everlasting life
and joy with Him each day.

Inevitable death - 
I am free of your constraints,
for God had the last word
by conquering the grave.
Finality deferred.

Inevitable death -
I am beyond your reach.
My Jesus went there first
and rose again to prove
the sting of death reversed.

Inevitable death -
the price for me was paid.
Full life restored to youth
with loving peace and grace
by trusting in God’s truth.
