Anchored in a World to Come

But it is just as the Scriptures say, “What God has planned for people who love him is more than eyes have seen or ears have heard. It has never even entered our minds!”

1 Corinthians 2:9
You are anchored, like a tether,
but light it feels, like a feather.
Unmoving God, the strong tow rope,
He is the One, your Blessed Hope.
Through peaceful gates, where all will live, in one accord,
by His lifeline, in His mercy, you are anchored.

A world to come awaits us now,
secured by God’s unbroken vow,
and by His Word, His blessing stands,
grab hold of Hope with both your hands.
His glory shines where angels sing and harps do strum,
at His right hand, He has prepared, a world to come.
